It is used to treat liver fire inflammation, red and swollen eyes, and can be used with mulberry leaves, chrysanthemums, cassia seeds and other medicines. This product can clear the liver and improve eyesight, and slightly nourish the liver. When combined with angelica and wolfberry, it can be used for those with liver yin deficiency and eye pain, which is worse at night. It can also be combined with cyperus rotundus and licorice, such as Xia Ku Cao San (Zhang's Medical Encyclopedia).

2. Scrofula and goiter. This herb is pungent in nature and can dissipate stagnation, bitter and cold in nature and can dissipate heat.
