[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb of Pseudothomolecularia tricholoma, a plant of the Polypodiaceae family.

【Original morphology】 Plant height 5-10cm. The rhizome is thin and horizontal, with scales on the top and base of the petiole. Leaves are sparse; petioles are 2.5-5cm long, straw-colored, attached to the rhizome at the joint at the base, and smooth upwards; leaf blades are leathery, ovate-triangular, 3-10cm long, base rounded cuneate or cuneate, and three-lobed; lobes are oblong to oblong, the middle one is the longest, gradually pointed or acute to form a tail; lobules are elliptical, slightly oblique, with cartilaginous edges and sparse shallow notches; lateral veins are obvious. The sporangium is round and arranged in a row on each side of the midrib, slightly closer to the midrib.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in the shade under pine forests.

【Nature and flavor】 Bitter; cold; non-toxic

【Functions and indications】Diuretic and relieving stranguria; clearing away heat and detoxifying. Mainly used for stranguria; turbid urine; edema; leucorrhea; sore throat; heatstroke; carbuncle and swelling

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 30-60g; or squeeze into juice. For external use: take appropriate amount and mash it for application.

[Additional prescription] There are yellow-brown sporangia on the back of the leaves, which look like stars, and sometimes there are only 7 of them, so it is named Seven-Star Grass. They are named "goose paw" and "chicken foot" because of their similar shapes.
