On the morning of October 25th local time, with the authorization of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the Chinese Embassy in Australia held a ceremony to receive a total of 4 lost cultural relics and artworks and 1 paleontological fossil returned by Australia to China . The returned painted pottery horse-riding figurines from the Northern Dynasties to the Tang Dynasty, the bronze gilt Buddha statues from the late Sui Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, and the late Jurassic to early Cretaceous Qianlong fossils were all intercepted by the Office of Cultural Property, Collections and Relics of the Australian Federal Government's Department of Arts at the customs entry stage. This is the first time that the National Gallery of Australia and Australian citizens have donated cultural relics and artworks to my country, marking another successful cooperation between China and Australia in the field of tracing and returning lost cultural relics, and a vivid example of the close connection between the Chinese and Australian people.
