What are the effects of soaking golden cicada flowers in wine?

Golden cicada fungus can be said to be a relatively common Chinese medicinal material. It is very common in Sichuan, Fujian, Yunnan and other regions of our country, especially in some bamboo forests, where it can be seen almost everywhere. The main reason why many people go to pick golden cicada flowers is to use them to make wine, which is very popular among men. So what is the purpose of doing this, and what are the effects of soaking golden cicada flowers in wine?

Cicada fungus, also known as cicada fungus and cicada pupa grass, is a wonderful creature with animal and plant characteristics. The root is the larvae of cicada pupa or mountain cicada, and the flower grows from a single or 2-3 cicada larvae heads, about an inch long, and blooms and branches from the top. According to relevant research, cicada fungus is a biological pathological phenomenon and a combination of insects and fungi. When autumn comes, cicadas burrow into the soil and gradually turn into cicada pupae. Before they emerge from the shell, they are parasitized by the Cordyceps sinensis fungus. When living conditions are suitable, they begin to germinate into mycelium, which absorbs the nutrients of the insect body. Eventually, the insect body is completely occupied by the mycelium and only a shell remains.

When all things come back to life, the mycelium transforms from the vegetative stage to the sexual stage, and gradually blooms and branches from the top, hence the name cicada fungus. Domestic and foreign studies have shown that cicada fungus has multiple functions such as improving immunity, resisting fatigue, protecting the kidneys, improving sleep, anti-tumor, protecting the liver, anti-radiation and improving eyesight. It is a magical ancient Chinese medicine. Artificially cultivated cicada fungus contains 2.18% mannitol, 21.73% polysaccharides, 19.76% amino acids, 0.005% cordyceps, and 0.05% adenosine, which are similar to natural Cordyceps sinensis, but toxic heavy metals such as arsenic, mercury, and lead are not detected, which is safer than natural Cordyceps sinensis. Therefore, cicada fungus can be used as a substitute for Cordyceps sinensis, and can also achieve the effect of nourishing and maintaining health.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that cicada fungus is a precious medicinal material with similar effects to Cordyceps sinensis. According to relevant literature, cicada fungus is sweet and cold in nature, and has the effects of dispersing wind-heat, calming the nerves and relieving spasms, and nourishing the skin.
