Don't think it can only cure insomnia, the magical effect is just that you don't know how to use it

Sleeping seems to be a normal thing, but if there are some problems with sleep, you will feel uncomfortable. However, among the traditional Chinese medicines for treating insomnia, Polygonum multiflorum and Albizzia julibrissin can be said to be among the best medicines. However, these medicines are all generalists. In addition to being proficient in a specific field, they are also very "proficient" in other aspects. Such medicinal materials seem to be somewhat like the cross-border and compound talents required in modern times.

When it comes to treating insomnia, Polygonum multiflorum is a specialist. As long as it is used reasonably, it can usually produce very good results. However, because of this, over time, people seem to only know that Polygonum multiflorum is used to treat insomnia, and know little about whether Polygonum multiflorum can treat other diseases. In fact, the function of Polygonum multiflorum in treating insomnia is just a drop in the bucket of its powerful effects.

Polygonum multiflorum can treat internal injury headaches. Some people may say that it doesn’t make sense to use Polygonum multiflorum to treat internal injury headaches. In fact, the reason lies in the compatibility of medicines. When using Polygonum multiflorum to treat internal injury headaches, it also needs to be used in combination with other herbs. Generally, you can use 20 grams of Polygonum multiflorum, 15 grams each of Poria, Eucommia, Achyranthes, and Gastrodia elata, 20 grams each of Uncaria rhynchophylla and Cassia tora, 10 grams of Gardenia jasminoides, 6 grams of Astragalus, 12 grams each of Leonurus japonicus and Viscum album. decocted in water and taken 3 times a day.

Polygonum multiflorum is very effective in preventing and treating cerebral arteriosclerosis and hypertension. For example, use 30 grams of Polygonum multiflorum, 10 grams of Polygala tenuifolia, 15 grams of Acorus calamus, and 20 grams of Pueraria lobata. Soak them in 3000 ml of warm water for 2 to 3 hours, boil them for 30 minutes, remove the residue, and use the juice to soak your feet. It has the effects of invigorating the brain and calming the nerves, lowering blood pressure and promoting hypnosis. It can be used for cerebral vascular sclerosis, high blood pressure, insomnia, memory loss and other symptoms.

Polygonum multiflorum is more effective in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, but it is also effective in treating hemiplegia after stroke. For example, use 50 grams of Polygonum multiflorum, 40 grams each of mulberry branch, Millettia reticulata, and Clematis chinensis, decoct them twice with water, and fumigate while it is hot, twice a day, each time for 15 minutes.

Polygonum multiflorum can also treat allergic dermatitis. The specific method is: 100 grams of fresh Polygonum multiflorum and 50 grams of Radix Angelicae Sinensis, boiled in water twice, wash the affected area, and sprinkle with Polygonum multiflorum powder after washing (100 grams each of Polygonum multiflorum leaves and cactus, dry them, grind them into fine powder, add 20 grams of borneol, mix well and bottle for use).

In addition to treating allergic dermatitis, Polygonum multiflorum can also treat stubborn urticaria. The specific usage is to use 60 grams each of Polygonum multiflorum and Kochia scoparia, decocted in water and taken, and sweat slightly after taking it. Take one dose per day (this prescription has a large dosage and must be used under the guidance of a doctor).

Polygonum multiflorum can also be used for the health care of sexual function of men and women. It can be used in combination with cooked rehmannia, yam, cornus officinalis, wolfberry, eucommia, cinnamon, processed aconite root, dodder seed, gecko, and Morinda officinalis.

A small plant called Polygonum multiflorum can treat so many diseases besides insomnia. This shows the versatility of herbal medicine, which is worth exploring. The medicinal effects of each Chinese medicine may be far more than those recorded in books, and there are many more effects worth exploring and discovering.
