This girl is bitter and smelly but so many people like her

"Nan Niu", what kind of girl is that?

In fact, Naniu is just one of the nicknames of the traditional Chinese medicine "Chou Lingdan". Stinky elixir is one of the commonly used Dai medicines in my country. It also has many aliases, such as stinky tree, stinky leaves, lion grass, six-angled chrysanthemum, etc. If you know other aliases, please reply in the comment section and share with everyone.

What is the stinky elixir? As one of the traditional Chinese medicines, Chou Lingdan has been used for thousands of years. Usually, the whole herb of the Asteraceae plant is used as medicine, and the leaves and roots alone can also be used as medicine. If the leaves are picked out and used alone, they are called stinky lingdan leaves, also known as "Bainaniu"; if the roots are taken out and used alone, they are called stinky lingdan roots, also known as "Hananiu".

Stinky Elixir smells stinky, a strong stench at that, and tastes bitter, so it is hard to associate a sweet name with something bitter and smelly. The stinking elixir is a perennial herb that grows among weeds near woods, roadsides, hillsides, and wastelands. Because Chou Lingdan is a cold product, it is often used clinically to clear heat and detoxify, reduce swelling and discharge pus, and ventilate and relieve pain. Modern research has confirmed that the whole plant of Scutellaria baicalensis contains volatile oils, sesquiterpenes and flavonoids, which have antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, expectorant and anti-tumor activities, and have few toxic and side effects.

What diseases can Nanu be used to treat? It can cure quite a few diseases, such as colds, coughs, asthma, parotid gland swelling and pain, and abdominal colic. It can also treat neck pain, carbuncle, swelling and so on. Here is a brief introduction to 3 usages of Nanu.

Weigh 20g of Bainanuniu (stinky lingdan leaves), soak it in boiling water and drink it. It can treat colds, coughs and asthma.

Take appropriate amounts of fresh products of three plants: Bainannu (stinky lingdan leaves), Convolvulus leaves, and Verbena, mash them into a paste, and use it for external application to treat parotid swelling and pain.

Take 20g each of Hananiu (root of Stinky Spiritual Plant) and Houttuynia Cordata, boil them in water and take the decoction orally to treat abdominal colic.
