Taking medicine and hiding drugs all day long, a piece of grass can solve the problem

For middle-aged and elderly people and middle-aged people with chronic diseases, they may have to take a lot of medicine every day to control their condition.

Over time, the accumulation of drug toxins will inevitably cause additional burden and pressure on the body and affect health. What should I do at this time?

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that taking licorice appropriately can effectively relieve the symptoms.

Licorice: The King of Detoxification

Licorice is the most commonly used Chinese medicine.

As early as more than 2,000 years ago, "Shennong's Herbal Classic" listed licorice as a top-grade medicine, saying that it has the functions of strengthening tendons and bones, growing muscles, increasing energy and detoxifying.

Li Shizhen, a famous doctor in the Ming Dynasty, also recorded in Compendium of Materia Medica: "Among all medicines, licorice is the most important. It can cure 72 kinds of milk stone poisons, resolve 1,200 kinds of plant poisons, and is effective in harmonizing various medicines. Therefore, it is called 'national elder'."

This shows that licorice has been given a very high status as a medicine since ancient times.

Licorice can harmonize the properties of medicines and detoxify them. It can be used in hot medicines to relieve fever, in cold medicines to dispel cold, and it can also replenish the middle and benefit the Qi.

Among them, the detoxification function of licorice has been most valued by doctors of all generations.

The legend of licorice detoxification

According to legend, in ancient Yuzhou, Henan Province, my country, a young doctor from a poor family saw that the owner of a drug store looked unwell and advised him to treat the patient well. However, the owner did not listen and fell ill the next day. No matter how many doctors he invited, they could not help.

When he was at a loss, the shopkeeper invited a doctor, who took the patient's pulse and prescribed the following medicine:

Take 200 grams of licorice, decocted in water. The next day, take 250 grams of licorice, decocted in water. On the third day, take 500 grams of licorice decocted in water. On the fourth day, the shopkeeper's illness was cured.

The young doctor explained: The owner of the drugstore tasted every medicine himself, and over time he became poisoned by all the medicines, so he had to use large amounts of licorice to detoxify.

For us modern people, if we take medicine regularly, we can use 3 to 5 grams of licorice to make tea instead of tea every day.

This is very helpful in alleviating the harm caused by long-term medication.
