What are the functions and effects of a bell?

Many people may not understand the meaning of Yikouzhong when hearing it for the first time. In fact, Yikouzhong is a relatively important medicinal material. It can not only play a great role when used alone, but the key is that it can be used in combination with other medicinal materials to have more extensive functions. Therefore, only when we understand the efficacy and function of a bell clearly, can we better treat the problem when we encounter it. So, what are the functions and effects of a bell? Let’s take a closer look at it.

〔1〕The whole plant is used for medicinal purposes. Its fruit is often used clinically. "Yikou Zhong" tastes slightly bitter and is neutral in nature. It has the effects of tonifying the spleen and stomach, lowering blood lipids and blood pressure, unblocking meridians, dispelling wind and dampness. It is known that trace elements are closely related to the occurrence, development and treatment of human diseases. It is reported that trace elements in traditional Chinese medicine often combine with organic acids, amino acids, and peptide components to produce synergistic effects and enhance the efficacy.

[2] It is worth exploring whether the medicinal effect of "Yikou Zhong" is related to the trace elements it contains. Therefore, the content of trace elements in the traditional Chinese medicine "Yikou Zhong" was determined, and the effects of different extraction methods on the trace elements in "Yikou Zhong" were explored, so as to provide a theoretical basis for the determination of the effective ingredients in "Yikou Zhong" and the correct clinical application of the medicine.

"Yikou Zhong" is a traditional Chinese medicine, which has multiple functions such as lowering blood lipids and blood pressure, dispelling wind and dampness, etc. This experiment determined the content of some trace elements contained in the medicine and explored the effects of different extraction methods on the content of trace elements in "Yikou Zhong". The test results show that the traditional Chinese medicine "Yikou Zhong" contains a variety of trace elements. Due to the different extraction methods of traditional Chinese medicine, the content of trace elements is slightly different.

Among the four essential trace elements detected, manganese content is the highest, followed by iron and copper, and zinc content is relatively low. Zinc and copper are involved in the synthesis of many important enzymes in the body, ensuring the normal functioning of the body's hematopoietic and endocrine functions, and maintaining the integrity of the structure and function of the nervous system, cardiovascular, bone and collagen tissues.

〔3〕The zinc levels in the aorta and myocardium of patients who died of myocardial infarction were significantly lower than those of normal people.

〔4〕Absolute or relative copper deficiency causes elevated serum cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations.

〔5〕Iron is involved in the synthesis of hemoglobin and certain enzymes, and is closely related to the hematopoietic function of the blood system. Manganese is related to bone structure and growth, hematopoiesis, and fat metabolism, and can promote the synthesis of hemoglobin. Changes in trace elements lead to changes in physiological functions and even pathological changes. Therefore, changes in trace element content directly affect the occurrence and development of diseases. Different extracts of "Yikou Zhong" have different contents of trace elements. More iron can be obtained by boiling and soaking, while more copper can be obtained by soaking in ethanol.

I think everyone should be clear about the effects and functions of a bell. There are many types of Chinese medicinal materials, which are treasures formed by the development of Chinese civilization and have significant therapeutic effects on many diseases. However, the use of Chinese medicine must be based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine. Correct use of the medicine can not only maximize its effectiveness, but also avoid the occurrence of side effects.
