Medicinal value of Tibetan snow chicken

Medicinal value of Tibetan snow chicken

The appearance of the Tibetan snow chicken is very different from that of domestic chickens. The biggest difference is that there are large white spots on the wings of the Tibetan snow chicken. The male's eyes are surrounded by mountain brown. The overall appearance of the female snow chicken is not much different from that of the male snow chicken. The Tibetan snow chicken's diet is mainly plant-based. Having talked about so many characteristics of the Tibetan snow chicken, let's take a look at the medicinal value of the Tibetan snow chicken.

1. Sedative effect: After intraperitoneal injection of 20-30g (raw drug)/kg of ethanol extract of snow chicken head into mice, the mice's spontaneous activities were significantly reduced (P<0.001); the mouse sleep experiment showed that the ethanol extract of snow chicken head had a significant synergistic effect when used together with chloral hydrate.

2. Anticonvulsant effect: The ethanol extract of snow chicken head (intraperitoneal injection at 25g (raw drug)/kg) has varying degrees of antagonistic effects on electric seizures in mice and chemical seizures caused by nikethamide, strychnine nitrate, caffeine, etc. Among them, it has the strongest effect on electric shock, nikethamide and strychnine nitrate convulsions.

3. Effect on hypoxia tolerance of mice: By selecting various hypoxia models such as normal pressure, decompression, circulatory disorder and tissue toxicity, it was proved that intraperitoneal injection of snow chicken ethanol extract into mice can significantly improve their hypoxia tolerance, indicating that snow chicken ethanol extract has a certain protective effect on important organs such as the heart and brain of mice.

4. Clinical application: Decoction of snow chicken head is effective for children with febrile convulsions and primary epilepsy in children.

The above introduction is the medicinal value of the Tibetan snow chicken. Speaking of the Tibetan snow chicken, it is really a treasure all over. Its internal organs, body, and feathers all have medicinal value and can also be cooked and eaten. Most Tibetan snow chickens like to live in groups and most of them like to move around on the mountainside and above the mountainside. When they are young, Tibetan snow chickens are somewhat similar to birds.
