[Source] It is the flower of the weeping crabapple plant of the Rosaceae family. Harvested in February.

[Original form] A tree, up to 5 meters high, with a sparse crown. The twigs are purple when young, initially hairy and then fall off. The leaves are ovate, elliptical, or elliptical-ovate, 3.5-12 cm long, 1.5-3.5 cm wide, gradually pointed at the apex, cuneate at the base, with small and blunt serrations on the edge, dark green and shiny above, often with purple halos, and smooth except for the hairs on the midrib; the petioles have fine soft hairs and a small protrusion at the base. The flowers are clustered with 4 to 7 flowers, bright red in color, 3 to 3.5 cm in diameter; the pedicels are slender and drooping, the same purple as the calyx, and glabrous; the sepals are ovate, obtuse at the ends, with white hairs on the edges; the petals are often more than 5; there are 4 to 5 styles, with white hairs at the base, and the terminal flowers often have no pistils. The pear fruit is obovate and purple.
