[Source] This product is the dried body of Zaocys dhumnades (Cantor), a Colubridae animal. It is mostly caught in summer and autumn. The snake's belly is cut open or the skin is peeled off, leaving the head and tail, the internal organs are removed, and it is coiled into a disc and dried.

【Preparation method】

Black-necked snake meat: After removing the head and scales, simmer it in rice wine, remove the skin and bones, and dry it.

Wine (roasted) black-banded snake: Take clean black-banded snake segments and fry them until dry according to the wine roasting method (Appendix Ⅱ D). For every 100kg of black-banded snake, use 20kg of rice wine.

[Properties] This product is disc-shaped with a diameter of about 16 cm. The surface is dark brown or green-black, densely covered with diamond-shaped scales; the dorsal scales are in pairs, and the 2nd to 4th rows of scales in the center of the back are strongly ridged, forming two black lines running vertically across the entire body. The head is in the middle, flat and round, with large, sunken and shiny eyes. There are 8 scales on the upper lip, the 4th and 5th of which are in the orbit, 1 cheek scale, 1 smaller scale in front of the eyes, and 2 scales behind the eyes. The ridge is high and looks like a roof. When the abdomen is cut open, the edges curl inward, the spinal muscles are thick, yellowish-white or light brown, and the neatly arranged ribs can be seen. The tail gradually becomes thinner and longer. There are two rows of scales under the tail. When skinned, only the scales on the head and tail are left, while the middle part is smoother. It has a fishy smell and a light taste.

【Nature and flavor and meridians】Sweet, neutral. It enters the liver meridian.

【Functions and indications】Dispel wind, dredge meridians, and stop spasms. It is used for stubborn rheumatism, numbness and cramps, facial paralysis caused by stroke, hemiplegia, convulsions and spasms, tetanus, leprosy, scabies, scrofula and malignant ulcers.

【Usage and Dosage】 9 to 12g. Or grind it into powder and swallow 1 qian, or use 3 qian as decoction. It can also be used to soak in wine.

[Storage] Store in a dry place to prevent mildew and moth.

【Remarks】（1）The efficacy is similar to that of white flower snake, but the medicinal power is weaker
