Can motherwort shrink the vagina?

Most female friends feel that their vulva is a little loose after giving birth. This situation not only makes female friends lose confidence, but also allows some bacteria and viruses to take advantage of the opportunity to enter the vulva and cause bacterial infection. The most important thing is that vaginal relaxation will cause rifts in their families and make their husbands not love them as much as before, so they try every means to tighten their vagina. In fact, motherwort is a very good vaginal tightening medicine.

Toxicity: Motherwort has very low toxicity. Although feeding motherwort extract to pregnant rabbits caused miscarriage, it had no effect on body temperature, respiration, or heart rate, and there were no other signs of poisoning. Subcutaneous injection of total alkaloids of Leonurus japonicus to rabbits at 30 mg/kg daily for 2 weeks had no effect on feeding, defecation and body weight; the median lethal dose of intravenous injection to mice was 572.2 ± 37.2 mg/kg. Because of its low toxicity and lower intensity of action than ergot preparations, the dosage can be appropriately increased during clinical application. If more than 30 grams of Wuweizi is taken at one time, poisoning symptoms may occur within 4-6 hours, such as general weakness, inability to move the lower limbs, body aches, and chest tightness; in severe cases, there will be sweating and collapse. The median lethal dose of motherwort injection in mice is 30-60g/kg. The median lethal dose of total alkaloids of Leonurus japonicus injected intravenously into mice is 572.2±37.2 mg/kg. Motherwort can cause allergic reactions, causing patients to experience redness of the skin, chest tightness, palpitations, and rapid breathing. Overdose of motherwort paste may cause diarrhea and abdominal pain. There are also reports of motherwort causing acute renal failure.

Motherwort decoction, alcohol extract and the leonurine it contains have a stimulating effect on the uterus of many animals, including rabbits, cats, dogs, and guinea pigs. When the decoction of Motherwort is administered to the isolated uterus of rabbits, it has a stimulating effect regardless of whether the uterus is not pregnant, in the early stage of pregnancy, in the late stage of pregnancy, or after delivery. For the uterus in situ, the stimulating effect appears 30 minutes after rapid intravenous injection, and its intensity and duration of action increase with increasing dosage. In the rabbit uterine impotence test, a decoction of motherwort was used. Whether the uterus was pressurized or not, the uterus showed a significant excitatory effect 15-20 minutes after administration. The total alkaloids of Leonurus japonicus have a stimulating effect on the isolated uterus of guinea pigs, and its effect is similar to that of ergonovine. The water extract and ethanol extract of Motherwort have significant stimulating effects on both the isolated and in situ uterus. However, for the uterus in place, there is a short period of inhibitory effect before excitement, and the aqueous solution after ether extraction has no such inhibitory effect. Leonurine can increase the amplitude of the isolated uterus of rats that were injected intramuscularly with 50 mg of estradiol during proestrus or after ovariectomy. The effects of motherwort are dose-dependent. When the concentration is 0.2-1mcg/ml, the dose-tension relationship is linear, and the maximum tension is reached above 2mcg/ml. Sometimes it can be seen that leonurine has a bidirectional effect on spontaneously contracting specimens. When the lowest effective dose is used or the concentration is suddenly increased (more than 5 times the original concentration), there may be a brief inhibition of 10-20 minutes before causing excitement. High concentrations (>20mcg/ml) exhibit an inhibitory effect due to the local anesthetic effect on the uterine myometrium. The uterine contraction effect of motherwort may last for several hours but will resume after flushing. Atropine 2mcg/ml has no effect on its contraction, and has no effect on the rabbit's uterus in situ. This is because the motherwort injection prepared by the distillation method only contains volatile oil and no biological alkali. The active ingredients of motherwort that stimulate the uterus are mainly found in the leaves, have a very weak effect in the roots, and are ineffective in the stems. Take motherwort decoction orally 4-5 times, 0.1 ml each time (contains approximately 50 mg of dry product extracted with water). The total amount is 200-250 mg, which has certain anti-implantation and anti-early pregnancy effects on mice.

Therefore, if you want to tighten your vagina, you can try using motherwort, because this medicine can improve your vaginal environment very well and causes minimal damage to your vagina. However, patients who are allergic to this medicine should try not to use it, otherwise allergies are likely to occur, for example, the patient will feel redness of his skin.
