(Gynostemma pentaphyllum replenishes qi and calms the mind, Polygonum multiflorum nourishes the heart and calms the mind, and Ophiopogon japonicus nourishes yin and clears the heart. It is used for qi deficiency, insufficient heart yin, palpitations, insomnia, and restlessness.)

2. Gynostemma pentaphyllum and Eucommia ulmoides tea: 15g Gynostemma pentaphyllum, 10g Eucommia ulmoides leaves. Soak in boiling water and drink. (Both of them can lower blood pressure, and Gynostemma pentaphyllum can clear away heat and calm the nerves. It is used for hypertension, dizziness, headache, restlessness, insomnia and irritability.)

3. Gynostemma pentaphyllum and Lysimachia chinensis drink: 15g Gynostemma pentaphyllum and 50g Lysimachia chinensis. Add appropriate amount of brown sugar and boil it in water to drink.

(Gynostemma pentaphyllum clears away heat and detoxifies, while Centella asiatica clears away heat, promotes the flow of dampness and relieves jaundice. It is used for viral hepatitis, with symptoms of damp-heat causing jaundice, and yellow and red urine and scanty urine.)

4. 150 grams of fresh stems and leaves of Gynostemma pentaphyllum and 100 grams of black rice. 5. 250 grams of fresh stems and leaves of Gynostemma pentaphyllum, 50 grams of vermicelli, and 25 grams of cooked sesame seeds. Wash the fresh and tender leaves of Gynostemma pentaphyllum, blanch them in boiling salt water until cooked, soak them in cold water and cut into sections. Soak the vermicelli in boiling water, rinse with cold water and cut into sections. Add minced garlic, cooked sesame seeds, salt, vinegar, MSG, sesame oil and other seasonings, mix well and eat.

6. 100 grams of fresh stems and leaves of Gynostemma pentaphyllum, 50 grams of fresh mushrooms, 100 grams of chicken breast, and appropriate amount of soup. Wash the young leaves of Gynostemma pentaphyllum, blanch them in boiling water, soak them in cold water and cut them into sections; wash the chicken, cut them into thin slices, and soak them briefly in wine and a small amount of water; wash the mushrooms and slice them. Bring soup to a boil over high heat, add chicken slices and blanch until cooked, then remove from the heat and serve in a bowl. Skim off the foam, add mushrooms and salt, cook until the soup boils, add cooking oil, add Gynostemma pentaphyllum, boil for another 2 minutes, scoop into the bowl with chicken slices and serve.
