Original form

Perennial herb, 40 to 100 cm tall. The roots are thin. The stem is erect and unbranched.

There are 3 to 5 leaves arranged in whorls or oppositely, oblong-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, 4 to 8 cm long and 2.5 to 3.5 cm wide.

The apex is acute, the base is cuneate, the margin has wavy and sparse teeth, the underside of the leaves is often pale and almost sessile.

The umbel is terminal, with densely grown flowers, a semi-spherical top and a diameter of 2.5 to 6 cm.

There are 5 sepals, lanceolate, about 1 mm long; 5 petals, yellowish-white, light green to white, oblong-elliptical, 4 to 5 mm long.

Stamens 10; scales linear-cuneate; carpels 5, oblong. Flowering period is from July to September.

Habitat distribution

It grows in grass on high mountain slopes or among rocks at the edge of ditches. Distributed in Sichuan, Hubei, Anhui, Gansu, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Northeast China.

Flavor

Bitter, flat.

Function and indications

Detoxify, reduce swelling and stop bleeding. Treat trauma, unknown swelling, snake bites and scorpion stings.

Dosage

For external use: mash and apply or squeeze the juice to apply.

Additional prescription

To treat snake bites: take appropriate amounts of fresh herb, rhubarb, curculigo, and alum, mash them into a paste, and apply to the wound.

Therefore, this kind of medicinal material must not be taken orally. Try to crush the resurrection grass and apply it to the affected area. It can not only stop bleeding, but also can be used to treat wounds after being bitten by snakes and insects when living in the wild. It can also relieve snake venom very well and prevent the venom from spreading to various organs in the body. However, this medicinal material can only play an auxiliary therapeutic role.
