The efficacy and function of Gaoben

Ligusticum chuanxiong, also known as Ligusticum chuanxiong and Guiqing, is the underground stem and root of Ligusticum chuanxiong, Liao Ligusticum chuanxiong and Pyrophora chuanxiong of the Umbelliferae family. It is harvested in spring and autumn every year. After removing the leaves, stems and soil, it can be used as medicine by drying or air-drying. Ligusticum chuanxiong is a green plant unique to my country. It is distributed in Sichuan, Shaanxi, Henan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Zhejiang and other places in mainland China. It grows in areas with an altitude of 1,000 to 2,700 meters. It mostly grows under forests and in ditches and grasses. It is currently cultivated by artificial breeding.

Ligusticum chuanxiong is a commonly used Chinese medicine. The products mainly include two types: Western Ligusticum chuanxiong produced in Sichuan and South Central China, and Northern Ligusticum chuanxiong produced in Northeast China and Northeast China. They are the underground stems and roots of the Umbelliferae plants Ligusticum chuanxiong and Ligusticum chuanxiong. Ligusticum chuanxiong is warm in nature and pungent in taste. It has the effect of dispelling cold, dampness and turbidity. It is commonly used to treat wind-cold headache, vertex pain, damp-cold abdominal pain, diarrhea, hernia, scabies and other diseases.

Anti-infection, antipyretic, analgesic and sedative.

(1) Anti-infection: Its water-soluble and fat-soluble components have a significant inhibitory effect on croton oil ear inflammation in mice. The water-soluble ingredients have anti-inflammatory effects on egg white edema. (2) Antipyretic: It can significantly increase the reaction speed of the heating plate and reduce the body temperature of febrile animals and normal animals. (3) Analgesia: Ligusticum chuanxiong oil has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-infection effects. It has a significant analgesic effect on the pain threshold of rabbit ears. (4) Calming: Ligusticum chuanxiong oil has a sedative effect. It can significantly inhibit the spontaneous activities of mice, resist the excitement caused by amphetamine, and enhance the hypnotic effect of sodium thiopental.

To smooth muscle.

(1) Inhibition of intestinal muscles: Its water extract and Ligusticum chuanxiong oil have a significant inhibitory effect on paraffin-sectioned rabbit intestines, resisting the stimulation of acetylcholine on intestinal muscles. It has an inhibitory effect on the colonic excitation movement of mice and the diarrhea caused by castor oil. (2) Inhibit uterine contraction: Ligusticum chuanxiong oil has an inhibitory effect on uterine smooth muscle, inhibiting the increase in uterine support caused by oxytocin. (3) Inhibit bronchitis: Ligusticum chuanxiong lactone has a relaxant effect on the smooth muscle of paraffin-sectioned guinea pig bronchial tubes, can resist the contraction of smooth muscles caused by acetylcholine and nitrosamines, resist the asthma-inducing effects of acetylcholine and nitrosamines, and increase the asthma-inducing time.

Other.

(1) Lowering blood pressure: Its aqueous extract has an inhibitory effect on the heart of paraffin-embedded frogs, and intravenous injection has a significant and short-term blood pressure lowering effect. (2) Antibacterial: Its decoction has an inhibitory effect on a variety of common skin-causing bacteria outside the body.
