So, how to use Panax notoginseng to treat diseases? What are the medicinal values of Panax notoginseng? Property identification: The main root is spindle-shaped or irregularly block-shaped, about 2 to 5 cm long and 0.3 to 2.5 cm in diameter. The outer skin is bright gray-green or with yellow spots (commonly known as copper skin) or gray-yellow (commonly known as iron skin). The top is relatively flat or a few have residual stems, the bottom has traces of cut rootlets, the whole has raised tubercles or branched rootlets and transverse lenticels, and intermittent longitudinal wrinkles. It is solid and hard to break. The cross section is gray-green or light brown, the bark and wood are easily separated, showing a chrysanthemum heart and horny appearance. The smell is weak, and the taste is bitter at first and then slightly sweet. The best ones are those that are big and plump, heavy, fine-skinned, gray-green with a lustrous look, gray-black with green in cross-section, and without cracks, commonly known as "copper skin and iron bones". Main ingredients: Contains notoginseng saponin A, notoginseng saponin B and flavonoids. Efficacy and functions: stop bleeding, remove blood stasis, reduce swelling and relieve pain. Notoginseng flavonoids can significantly increase coronary artery flow and reduce myocardial oxygen consumption. Panax notoginseng decoction seems to have a glucocorticoid-like effect. There are many tumor-like protrusions all over the body. There are often stem bases or bud scars at the top of the protrusions, which are solid and not easy to break. Gray-yellow veins can be seen in the longitudinal section, and the cross section shows a chrysanthemum heart shape. The taste is sweet and slightly bitter. 3.
