Although centipedes are very annoying creatures, because if they crawl into your home they will pose a threat to your health, and it is difficult to get rid of them, and once you are bitten you may be poisoned all over your body, but in fact centipedes can treat some diseases if used properly, but they can only be taken under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine. ① For the treatment of malaria: Take 2-3 liang of the whole plant of water centipede including the roots (sun dried until half dry) and boil it in water for 3-4 hours. Take it all at once 2 hours or 1 day before the onset of malaria, and take it for 3 consecutive days. A total of 48 cases were treated, of which 21 cases used 2 liang, and malarial parasites were found in blood tests before taking the medicine. Symptoms disappeared after taking the medicine, and no malarial parasites were found in thick blood smears in 15 cases; 27 cases used 3 liang, and 24 were effective. It is believed that the dosage should not be less than 3 liang, the decocting time should not be less than 3 hours, and the medication should be taken for no less than 3 days. However, according to the experimental results conducted on mice by the Institute of Parasitic Diseases of Jiangsu Branch of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, water centipedes have poor effect on mouse malaria parasites, and it can be preliminarily confirmed that they are ineffective against mouse malaria parasites. At the same time, it was observed that the concentrated decoction of the roots of water centipedes and the ethanol reflux concentrate are both toxic. Therefore, before conducting clinical trials with large doses of water centipedes, it is extremely necessary to conduct toxicity tests first. ② Treatment of chyluria: Take 2 liang of dried water centipede rhizome and longan, decoct in water, 1 dose per day, or take it instead of tea, for 15 consecutive days. More than 100 cases have been treated, all with certain effects. ③ Treatment of bacillary dysentery: Take 1 liang each of water centipede and white powder vine (i.e. single horn sebaceous tung oil plant), decoct in water and take in 2 doses (in severe cases, 2 doses per day). 70 cases were treated, with an average medication period of about 7 days. 54 cases were cured, 14 cases showed marked effects, and 2 cases were ineffective. The average time for fever to subside was 2.3 days, the average number of days for bowel movement frequency and characteristics to return to normal was about 5 days, and the average time for stool culture to turn negative was 4.08 days. Its therapeutic effect seems to be no less than that of the sulfaguanidine control group. ④ Treatment of chronic bronchitis: Take 1 jin of ground bayberry (water centipede), half a jin of roots and leaves of fragrant leaf tree (also known as mountain ash tree), add 1000 ml of water and distill, take 500 ml of the middle distillate, take 3 times a day, 20 ml each time, 10 days as a course of treatment. 92 cases were treated, 11 were controlled, 12 showed marked effects, 41 improved, and the effective rate was 69.4%. This medicine has certain antitussive, antiasthmatic and expectorant effects. The therapeutic effect usually appears 2 to 4 days after taking the medicine, and the side effects are mild. However, the long-term efficacy is poor and relapse is likely after drug discontinuation. The dosage was increased to 30 ml each time, with a course of 20 days, and 400 cases were treated, with a significantly improved efficacy. This article tells you in detail what diseases centipedes can treat. In fact, centipedes can treat chronic diseases that are very distressing, such as chronic bronchitis. This medicine only needs to be taken for 3 days a day, and the effect will be apparent within two or three days of taking the medicine. |
