The efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine placenta

Do you know what Ziheche is? Ziheche is what we often call the placenta. It is brought by women when they give birth. It is also the placenta necessary for the development of the fetus. It also contains umbilical cord blood. Its nutritional value is quite high. However, many people dare not eat Ziheche because it has a strong fishy smell. If you want to eat it, many people can't eat it. Therefore, many people use Ziheche to make medicine, so that they will not smell fishy after eating it. So what are the effects of this Chinese herbal medicine Ziheche?

1. Anti-infection effect: Placental γ-globulin contains antibodies such as measles and influenza, as well as diphtheria antitoxin, which can be used to prevent or alleviate infectious diseases such as measles. Because it is a protein, it is ineffective when taken orally and must be injected. Placental gamma-globulin also contains interferon, which can be used clinically to prevent or control viral infections. The placenta also contains lysozyme, which can prevent the death of mice (intraperitoneal injection) caused by endotoxins of Salmonella Enteritidis, Salmonella Typhimurium, and Shigella flexneri; it also has a certain protective effect on endotoxin damage to rats; but it has no effect on endotoxemia caused by Escherichia coli.

2. Enhance the body's resistance: Oral administration of placenta powder to mice can reduce their tuberculosis lesions, and in test tubes it can promote the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Therefore, it is believed that its main function is to increase the body's resistance. The hydrochloric acid hydrolysis product of the defatted placenta was injected intraperitoneally into rats, and it had a significant inhibitory effect on hepatic fat deposition caused by carbon tetrachloride and ethylthiobutyric acid (Ethionin). Subcutaneous injection of human placenta extract into mice can prolong their swimming time; intramuscular injection into rats also has a certain preventive and therapeutic effect on certain experimental types of gastric ulcers (reserpine-induced, stress-induced, ligation of the lower part of the pylorus, etc.).

3. Hormone-like effects: The placenta can physiologically produce chorionic gonadotropin, which has little effect on the ovaries but has a stimulating effect on the testicles; in addition, it can also produce estrogen and progesterone. The placenta may contain these hormones and thus have the pharmacological effects of these hormones. Human chorionic gonadotropin is a protein substance that is ineffective when taken orally and requires injection. Injection of placenta extract into lactating rabbits seems to promote their development. It can significantly promote the development of the thymus, spleen, uterus, vagina, mammary gland, etc. It also has a promoting effect on the thyroid gland and testicles, but has almost no effect on the pituitary gland, adrenal gland, ovary, pancreas, liver, and kidney.

If everyone knows what kind of effects and functions this Chinese medicinal material placenta has, then we can make reasonable use of it in our lives. Placenta should not be eaten casually, because it has powerful medicinal effects and can be used to treat diseases. In this case, we must abide by the reasonable amount of placenta to allow our bodies to be reasonably and effectively nourished.
