[Original form] Perennial herb, covered with white or light yellow soft hairs. The base is branched and often creeps on the ground. The leaves are 3-compound leaves with long petioles; the leaf blades are broadly ovate, 2-4.5 cm long and 3-6 cm wide. The central leaflet has a long or short petiole, is broadly ovate or rhombus-ovate, 3 shallowly to deeply lobed, and the upper edges of the lobes are sparsely serrated. The lateral leaflets have short petioles and are unequally 2-lobed. The flowers are solitary opposite leaves, with long stalks and a diameter of about 1.5 cm; there are 5 sepals, narrowly ovate and recurved; there are 5 petals, yellow and nearly elliptical; there are many stamens with yellow anthers; there are many pistils, the ovary is superior, and the style is hooked. Achenes flat, with margins, raised in the middle, and short beak at apex. Flowering period is from May to June.

[Habitat distribution] Grown in shady and wet places beside streams or forests. Distributed throughout the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and Taiwan.
