The efficacy and function of milkweed

Milkweed is the name of a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, which originated from Ben Jing Feng Yuan and is another name for dandelion flowers described in Xin Xiu Ben Cao. When I was a child in the countryside, I could see milkweed everywhere. My grandma told me this name. If you pull the milkweed hard, a milky white juice will melt on your hand. It tastes sweet with a slight bitterness when you lick it. It is like cotton wool, which brings fresh energy and pulse to the body.

Milkweed efficacy

Women who are breastfeeding may often experience milk retention. At this time, dandelion flowers can be very helpful. Taking dandelion flowers can not only remove breast lumps, reduce inflammation and relieve pain, but also has the effect of promoting lactation.

Dandelion flower has the effects of clearing away heat and removing fire, relieving pain and eliminating knots. It belongs to the category of heat-clearing and fire-removing medicines in traditional Chinese medicine. It has a wide range of uses. It can be used to treat liver heat, red and swollen eyes, mouth sores, sore throat, and breast abscesses. It also has the effects of resisting gastric ulcers, promoting bile secretion and protecting the liver, treating various infections and suppurative diseases. It has special treatments for a variety of sores and carbuncles, and can be used orally or externally. In addition, dandelion flower is also a very good Chinese medicinal material for clearing heat and removing dampness. It can treat painful gonorrhea, yellowing caused by cold and dampness, such as cold and fever, subacute tonsillitis, urinary tract infection, etc.

It can be said that in the era when medicine was not relatively developed, dandelion flowers were just a commodity for villagers. When encountering the above-mentioned diseases, they would just pick some dandelion flowers from the roadside for external use, or wait until the dandelion flowers were ripe, pick them and dry them for later use. The old people said that the newly picked dandelion flowers should be picked with the roots, because the roots also have great medicinal effects. After picking, they cannot be exposed to the sun, as this will affect the medicinal properties. They should be dried in a cool place.

Fibrocystic breast disease is the most common breast disease in women. There are many factors that cause the disease. If your mood is easily unstable or you have had multiple abortions, these symptoms may occur.

Ancient people often used milkweed to treat various "breast pain" symptoms. "Bencao Jingshu" believes that milkweed "can treat breast abscesses and breast poisoning in housewives". For women, eating more milkweed can make breasts that originally had lumps and hard masses softer.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, breast hyperplasia is caused by accumulation of damp phlegm and stagnation of blood and qi. Milkwort has the effects of removing toxins, reducing swelling, eliminating lumps and relieving pain, and is effective in treating hard mass lesions. Therefore, traditional Chinese medicine commonly uses milkweed externally or orally to treat breast hyperplasia.

The actual way is:

For external use: Take 5-10 grams of milkweed and mash it, add appropriate amount of cold boiled water or 50% ethanol to make it viscous, and apply it immediately to the swollen and painful area, about 0.5-1 cm thick, cover with plastic film, and fix it with a bandage. Change the dressing once a day.

Oral use: Dry and fry the milkweed to make tea, take 3-5g per day, mix with boiling water and drink as tea.

In addition, breast hyperplasia has a lot to do with mood. If you can maintain a good mood, it will be a great help to the improvement of the condition.
