[Source] This product is the dried root tuber of Pseudostellaria heterophylla (Miq.) Pax ex Pax et Hoffm. of the Caryophyllaceae family . Dig it up in summer when most of the stems and leaves wither, wash it, remove the fibrous roots, blanch it in boiling water, and then dry it in the sun or directly in the sun.

[Properties] This product is in the shape of a slender spindle or slender strip, slightly curved, 3 to 10 cm long and 0.2 to 0.6 cm in diameter.
