[Source] It is the lichen of Cladonia spathulata of the Cladoniaceae family. It can be harvested throughout the year, impurities removed and sun-dried.

[Original morphology] The lichen body is scaly, growing at the base and upper part of the pedicel, with a gray-green surface, gray-white inside, and sparse petals. The stalk of the stalk is thick, upright like a branch, shaped like a deer antler, about 5 cm high and 1.5 mm in diameter, grayish white or green in color, without powder buds or needle buds. There is a cup-shaped body at the top, with its periphery extending in a palm shape and bearing many asci; the asci are small, hemispherical or mostly fused into irregular wart-like protrusions, and the ascocarp is light yellowish brown or dark brown.

【Nature and flavor】 Bitter in taste, neutral in nature.

【Functions and indications】It can relieve stranguria and promote urination, reduce swelling and detoxify, stop bleeding and promote tissue regeneration. Treat cystitis, urinary problems, eye diseases, epistaxis, hematemesis, and impetigo.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 2 to 3 qian. For external use: decoct in water for washing or grind into powder for application.
