[Original morphology] Deciduous shrub, stem 1 to 2 meters high, 4.5 mm in diameter, cylindrical, twigs and petioles densely covered with short soft hairs. The leaves are trifoliate, with 2 stipules, about 3 mm long, lanceolate-linear; the petiole is 1.5-3.5 cm long, slightly concave on the upper side; the leaflets at the top are rounded and diamond-shaped, 4.7-10.5 cm long, 4-8 cm wide, with a short tip at the tip, and the edge is deeply wavy from the middle upwards; the leaflets on both sides are smaller; the leaflets are petiolate, with small stipules at the base; the leaf surface is green, with hairs when young, which gradually fall off later, and the back of the leaf is grayish white and covered with tightly attached soft hairs. The racemes are terminal or axillary, with pedicels 5 mm long: bracts caducous; sepals united at base, calyx tube 2.5 mm long, calyx teeth triangular, equal in length to calyx tube; flowers purple, 8 mm long, corolla butterfly-shaped, standard petal round to elliptical, wing petals adnate to keel; stamens 10, united at base; ovary linear, sparsely pubescent. The pods are bead-like, with about 10 nodes, easy to break, and the nodes are nearly square and densely covered with hooked brown hairs. Flowering period is from July to August. Fruiting period is October.
