[Source] It is the whole herb of Pteris cretica, a plant of the Pteridaceae family. Available all year round. Use fresh or wash, cut into sections, and dry for later use.

[Original form] Perennial herb, 50 to 100 cm tall. The rhizome is erect with linear lanceolate fleshy brown scales. Leaves are of 2 types, clustered, with petioles straw-colored and smooth; fertile leaves are ovate, 25-30 cm long, 15-20 cm wide, 1-pinnate, but the pinnae below the middle are usually forked, and sometimes there are 1-2 separate pinnae in a pair at the base; pinnae or pinnae are 15-25 cm long, 6-8 mm wide, linear-lanceolate, with sharp serrations on the top; sterile leaves are of the same type, but pinnae or pinnae are 1-1.5 cm wide, with sharp serrations on the edges.
