[Source] Medicinal material source: the bark of Cassia tomentosa, a plant of the Lauraceae family.

[Original form] Evergreen small tree, 4-6m high. The bark is gray-brown or dark green. It has many branches, and the branches are covered with dark yellow hairs, which gradually fall off and become hairless. Leaves are alternate or nearly opposite; petiole 4-9mm long, densely covered with dark yellow pubescence; leaf blade ovate-lanceolate, ovate or ovate-elliptic, 4.5-11.5cm long, 1.5-4cm wide, apex shortly acuminate, base cuneate or nearly rounded, all linear, densely covered with dark yellow pubescence along the veins when young, gradually falling off and becoming glabrous later, densely covered with yellow-brown pubescence below, three-veined from the base, lateral veins with a few branch veins near the leaf margin, reticulate veins slightly obvious below, leathery. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : The fruit is oval, about 6mm long; the fruit receptacle is funnel-shaped with teeth at the top. The flowering period is from April to June, and the fruiting period is from June to August.
