[Original form] Achyranthes bidentata, perennial herb, 6-16cm tall. Nearly procumbent, often with stolons at the base and enlarged rhizomes. The stem is quadrangular, densely covered with light brown curly soft hairs and rough hairs. Leaves are opposite; petiole 0.8-1.5cm long; leaf blade oblong to oblong-ovate, rarely lanceolate, 4-6.5cm long, 1.5-2.6cm wide, with apex indented or rounded, base cuneate, margin with shallow wavy serrations or crenates, ciliate, and both sides covered with rough hairs. The spike cyme is terminal and composed of many transmitting line cymes; the bracts are ovate, obtuse at the apex, rounded at the base, and both sides are covered with rough hairs; the calyx is campanulate, only covered with rough hairs on the outside, with 10 veins, 5 calyx teeth, regular, with long cilia; the corolla is white with purple stripes, tubular, slightly curved, covered with long soft hairs on the outside, sparsely pubescent on the inside, with a hair ring near the base, the crown brim is two-lipped, the upper lip is erect, 2-lobed, with ciliate margins, the lower lip is large, 3-lobed, the middle lobe is obcordate, the lateral lobes are oblong, with ciliate margins; the stamens are 4, didynamous, and the filaments are straight; the upper part of the style is sparsely pubescent, slightly exceeding the stamens, and the apex is 2-lobed; the disk is annular, and the ovary is glabrous. Small nut, with shallow reticular wrinkles on the back, large navel, and several spots on the entire ventral surface. The flowering period is from May to August, and the fruiting period is from June to September.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing in alpine scrub, rhododendron scrub and grazing grassland at an altitude of 2800-3500m.
