Flowers purple; pedicels 1-1.5cm long, perianth connate above ovary, lobes broadly ovate, pubescent; stamens 12, rarely fewer, nearly as long as style, filaments about 1.5 times longer than anthers, connective usually not protruding, rarely slightly protruding; ovary inferior nearly spherical, initially pubescent, then gradually falling off, style apex radially 6-lobed, stigma terminal.
