[Alias] Zhamaxing (Tibetan name).

[Source] It is the flower of Caragana yunnanensis, a plant of the Leguminosae family .

[Original form] Deciduous shrub, 1 to 2 meters high; many branches, gray-brown outer bark. Stipules triangular or ovate-lanceolate; rachises on long branches persistent and hardened into thorns, 2-5 cm long, rachises on short branches falling off; pinnate leaves, 10-14 leaflets, oblong or obovate-lanceolate, about 7-9 mm long, 3-3.5 mm wide, with a short hard tip at the apex, pubescent beneath. The flowers are solitary; the pedicels have nodes in the middle; the calyx is broadly cylindrical, with one side of the base tilted and sac-shaped, the calyx teeth are triangular and almost as long as the calyx tube; the corolla is yellow, the standard petal is nearly round, and the tip is rounded. The pods are cylindrical, 30 to 45 mm long, and densely covered with soft hairs on the outside.

[Habitat distribution] Growing in bushes at forest edges, roadsides and hillsides. Distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan, Tibet and other places.

[Nature and flavor] It is neutral in nature, sweet and slightly bitter in taste.

【Functions and indications】Tonifies Qi and strengthens the kidneys. Treats dizziness, headache, tinnitus, blurred vision, tuberculosis and cough, and infantile malnutrition.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 1 to 3 qian.
