"These are indeed the fish fry we released during the stocking enhancement and release. If you catch them, you can contact us using the phone number on the tag," Director Xu, head of the research project team, told reporters.

In recent years, fishery resources have gradually declined. The Zhejiang Provincial Marine Fisheries Research Institute conducts large-scale fish fry reproduction and release every year. There are three main purposes for marking the released fry. "The first is to understand its growth, how long it takes from release to capture, and how much weight it has gained; the second is to see its migration route. For example, if it is released in our Zhoushan waters, it may be caught in Wenzhou after a period of time, which means it is moving to the southwest; the last is to see the number of recaptures, calculate how many fish are caught by what nets, and calculate the recapture rate."

Director Xu said that if you catch or fish for a marked fish, after contacting them, you can put the fish in a plastic bag and freeze it in the refrigerator first, and then use a small piece of paper to write down the fishing time, location and tools.
