May 15th marks the second anniversary of Tianwen-1's successful landing on Mars.

On May 15, 2021, the Tianwen-1 probe touched down in the pre-selected landing area in the southern part of Utopia Planitia on Mars. my country's first Mars exploration mission successfully landed on Mars, marking an important step in my country's interstellar exploration journey, achieving the leap from the Earth-Moon system to the interplanetary system, and leaving the Chinese mark on Mars for the first time.

One week after landing on Mars, on May 22, 2021, under the careful operation of ground personnel, the Zhurong Mars rover drove off the landing platform; on June 11, the first batch of scientific images of the Tianwen-1 probe landing on Mars were released. China's first Mars exploration mission was a complete success.

In March 2022, the International Astronomical Union named 22 geographical entities near the landing site of Tianwen-1 after famous Chinese historical and cultural villages and towns, including revolutionary holy places such as Xibaipo and Gutian, historical sites such as Yaodian and Gujiang, and tourist attractions such as Zhouzhuang and Mohe.
