The first typhoon to land in our country this year is coming!

On June 30, the tropical depression in the South China Sea has strengthened into this year's third typhoon "Siam", which will also become the first typhoon to land in my country this year, which also means that this year's typhoon season has officially begun.

At present, this year's third typhoon "Siam Ba" is at the severe tropical storm level (level 11, 30 meters per second). At 13:00, its center was located on the sea surface about 395 kilometers southeast of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. It is expected that "Siam Ba" will continue to move northwestward in the future, and its intensity will gradually increase, and the strongest may reach the typhoon level (level 12 to 13, 33 to 40 meters per second).

It will make landfall in the coastal area from Yangjiang, Guangdong to Qionghai, Hainan Island from noon to night of July 2, with the greatest possibility of making landfall in Wuchuan to Xuwen, Guangdong, with a landing intensity of typhoon or severe tropical storm (level 11 to 12, 30 to 35 m/s).

Strong wind forecast

From the 1st to the 4th, there will be strong winds of 6 to 8 degrees in most seas or areas such as the South China Sea, the Xisha Islands, the Zhongsha Islands, the Beibu Gulf, the Qiongzhou Strait, the coastal areas of Guangdong, the coastal areas of Hainan Island, and the coastal areas of Guangxi. Among them, there will be strong winds of 9 to 10 degrees in the northwest of the South China Sea, the Beibu Gulf, the Qiongzhou Strait, the western coastal areas of Guangdong, the eastern and northern coastal areas of Hainan Island, and other seas and areas. The wind force in the nearby seas or areas where the typhoon center passes can reach 11 to 13 degrees, with gusts of 14 to 15 degrees.

Rainfall forecast

From the 1st to the 4th, Hainan Island, coastal and western Guangdong, central and eastern Guangxi and other places will have rainstorms successively, with heavy rainstorms in some areas and extremely heavy rainstorms in some places; the cumulative precipitation will be 100 to 200 mm, 250 to 400 mm in the northern part of Hainan Island, western Guangdong, and southeastern Guangxi, and 400 to 600 mm in some places. The local daily rainfall or cumulative rainfall will be close to or exceed the historical extreme values ​​for the same period; the maximum hourly precipitation in the above-mentioned areas will be 50 to 80 mm, and more than 80 mm in some places, accompanied by strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and gales. From the 5th to the 7th, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places will have heavy to torrential rains, with local heavy rainstorms.

Heavy rainfall concentrated period :

Hainan Island from the 1st to the 2nd, Guangdong from the 1st to the 3rd, and Guangxi from the night of the 2nd to the 6th.

Meteorological disaster risk forecast

From the 1st to the 4th, the meteorological risk of local geological disasters in southwestern Guangdong, central Hainan Island, eastern and southern Guangxi is relatively high, and the meteorological risk of local geological disasters in southwestern Guangdong and southern Guangxi is high; the meteorological risk of local mountain torrents and floods in small and medium-sized rivers is high in southwestern Guangdong, central Hainan Island, southern Guangxi and other places; the risk of flood disasters in central and western Guangdong, northern Hainan Island, and central and eastern Guangxi is high.

In addition, at 11 a.m. on July 1, this year's fourth typhoon "Aili" was formed (tropical storm level, level 8, 18 meters/second), and will move toward the north in the future, bringing wind and rain to my country's East China Sea.
