On the afternoon of May 22, two boys from Gu'an County, Langfang City, Hebei Province went to the east bank of the Baigou River for fun, where they unfortunately drowned.

At 17:52 on May 22, the command center of the Zhuozhou Public Security Bureau received the alarm and immediately dispatched police to the scene. After verification, boy A, 13 years old, was a primary school student in Gu'an County; boy B, 15 years old, was a middle school student in Gu'an County; both were permanent residents of Gu'an County. Boy A was salvaged ashore at around 21:00 on May 22, and boy B was salvaged ashore at around 15:00 on May 23. Both were dead.

At present, the relevant departments of Zhuozhou City have informed Gu'an County of the situation and will cooperate in the follow-up investigation.

13-year-old boy drowned in Yellow River during wild swimming

At about 12 noon on May 23, a male teenager was salvaged from the Licun section of the Yellow River in Mudan District, Heze City, Shandong Province, with no vital signs. According to rescue and salvage staff, the teenager lived in Zuozhuang Village, Licun Town, Mudan District, and was only 13 years old this year. He was a sixth-grade primary school student. He went to the Licun section of the Yellow River alone to swim and accidentally drowned.
