If you don't understand, ask! Why does bread become hard as it ages, while biscuits become soft?

Bread and biscuits are small snacks that we often have in our lives

Eat a little when you are hungry

Get a moment of satisfaction

But, have you discovered

The bread is very soft when it is just opened.

If you don’t finish eating that day

It became hard the next day.

Cookies are just the opposite

Very crisp at first

It becomes soft after a long time.

What is going on?

Let’s explore it together below!

It turns out that it’s all the moisture in the air that’s causing the problem.

Although flour is used in the production process, they are made in different ways and contain different ingredients, which is why there are such differences.

bread

Generally speaking, bread is fluffy and soft. Its main ingredients are rye flour or wheat flour. After yeast fermentation , it contains more water, but if it is exposed to the air, the water will slowly evaporate , so the bread will become hard.

biscuit

Biscuits are made by mixing wheat flour, sugar and other raw materials into dough, pressing them into dough, and then baking and cooling them to evaporate the moisture inside, thus making crispy biscuits. However, if biscuits are exposed to the air, the sugar and salt inside will absorb the moisture in the air, causing them to become damp and soft .
