When it comes to peaches, there are many varieties, including honey peaches, nectarines, yellow peaches, flat peaches...

Peaches contain many nutrients needed by the human body and are very popular. Especially the crisp, sweet and juicy taste makes people unable to extricate themselves.

Wait, how come the peach flesh is still fresh but the peach pit is moldy? Can you still eat such peaches? Here are the answers for you!

It turns out that the peach flesh is still fresh but the peach pit is moldy because of a bug called the pear borer. It is also called the borer. During the growth period of peaches, it uses its small body to drill into the peaches when they are still in bloom.

As the peach grows, it eats the pit inside the peach. There is fat in the pit and oil in the kernel. After it has eaten all of them, it will come out, leaving behind inconspicuous insect spots. The peach pit will become moldy because the kernel has been destroyed.

This kind of mold that spreads from the inside out is difficult to distinguish from the appearance, so if you find this kind of peach, it is best not to eat it.

Of course, in addition to the damage caused by pear borers, peach pit mold may also be caused by mold.
