Xinjiang University: Research Report on the Development of Xinjiang Platform Economy (2022)

The Xinjiang Platform Economy Development Research Report (2022) (hereinafter referred to as the "Report") is the third platform economy research report jointly released by the School of Economics and Management of Xinjiang University, Xinjiang Digital Economy Research Institute, and Xinjiang Digital Certificate Certification Center (hereinafter referred to as the compilation team). Compared with 2021, there are three aspects of optimization: first, the research subjects have increased from 25 platforms in 2021 to 37 platforms; second, new data such as the number of platform transactions (services), the number of unit user transactions (services), and the amount of single transactions (services) have been added to better reflect the activity of the platform; third, based on the data from 2021 to 2022, a comprehensive comparative analysis of platform development, achievements, and existing problems is conducted for the first time from both vertical and horizontal directions.

Xinjiang has significant geographical and resource advantages, and can incubate a number of influential platforms in the fields of cross-border e-commerce, bulk commodities, and supply chains. We hope that this report will play a positive role in promoting the development of Xinjiang's platform economy. We thank Xinjiang platform companies for their strong support and help in completing the "Report", and we also look forward to communicating with peers who are concerned about the platform economy and criticizing and correcting the deficiencies in the "Report".
