2020 Kuaishou E-commerce Ecosystem Report

Kuaishou Big Data Research Institute and Kuaishou E-commerce jointly released the "2020 Kuaishou E-commerce Ecosystem Report" , which is the first time that Kuaishou has systematically sorted out the development of its e-commerce business to the outside world.

The report shows that Kuaishou's e-commerce GMV has increased 1,000 times in two years , with an average of two e-commerce live broadcasts per second. It has grown into the second largest live e-commerce platform in the world in terms of total merchandise transaction volume.

Comparing August and January this year, the number of Kuaishou e-commerce orders increased by 254% , the number of merchants increased by 74%, and the number of buyers increased by 68%. From January to June 2020, the average monthly repurchase rate of buyers reached 60%.

In addition, Kuaishou's e-commerce apparel, shoes and bags GMV increased by 213%, with buyers in fifth-tier cities having the highest average purchase price for apparel, shoes and bags. Kuaishou's e-commerce beauty brand GMV increased by 1,000% year-on-year in the third quarter; the preference of male buyers born after 2000 for beauty products is nearly twice that of male buyers born after 1990; men in South China love to buy beauty products the most, followed by North China, Northwest China and Northeast China.
