[Original morphology] The plant body is dark green or green, and turns yellowish brown when old. The stem is single and erect, sparsely branched, 2-8cm high, with densely covered adventitious roots at the base. The leaves are tightly curled around the stem when dry, and stand upright when wet, like the leaves of a fir seedling; the base of the leaf blade is elliptical, concave, semi-sheathed, and broadly lanceolate at the top, 6-7mm long, 0.4-0.7mm wide, with red serrations in the middle and upper part of the leaf margin, composed of 2-3 cells; the midrib is thicker, reaching the tip of the leaf, the pectens cover the ventral surface, about 30, 4-6 cells high, the apical cell is large and concave.
