In 2017, the scale of mobile payment users in my country continued to expand, and user habits were further consolidated. The survey shows that the proportion of netizens using mobile online payment for offline consumption increased from 50.3% at the end of 2016 to 65.5%, of which 72.3% of urban netizens used it, and 47.1% of rural netizens used it. Following personal consumption service scenarios such as taxis, food delivery, and shopping, mobile payment has further extended to the public service field, and has gradually expanded from early life payments such as water and electricity to public transportation, highway tolls, medical care and other fields; Second, online payment is accelerating its penetration into rural netizens and elderly netizens. The survey shows that the proportion of rural netizens using online payment has increased from 31.7% at the end of 2016 to 47.1%; the usage rate among netizens over 50 years old has increased from 14.8% to 32.1%; Third, technology has further improved the security and convenience of mobile payment. Biometric recognition technology is becoming more mature, fingerprint recognition has been used on a large scale, and facial recognition has also been initially commercialized.
