FlightView: Survey shows that most passengers are dissatisfied with in-flight Internet services

Providing wireless Internet access to passengers at airports and on airplanes seems to have become a trend, but it seems that most consumers are not very satisfied with this service. A report surveying more than 600 business travelers found that 28% of respondents were satisfied with the in-flight Wi-Fi provided by airlines, and 32% of travelers gave a positive review of the airport Wi-Fi experience. It seems that most travelers want better airport and in-flight Wi-Fi services, but they are not very interested in using certain tools at present. 36% of respondents want to use their mobile devices to book flight upgrades or ground transportation services (such as taxis and shuttles, etc.). Do these results reflect that travelers have fewer needs for features, but have a lot of needs for notifications and information? The report from FlightView pointed out that flight status information (94%), upgrades (63%) and boarding reminders (70%) are important parts of the airport and travel experience for business travelers through their mobile phones. The survey asked respondents this question: Assuming that the flight is delayed for a long time, what can airlines do to improve the consumer experience in the airport? 46% of respondents believe that they should provide free Wi-Fi, while 21% of travelers believe that airlines should allow them to use airport VIP lounges.
