The flowers are sessile or nearly sessile; the calyx is campanulate, 5-7mm long, sparsely hairy, with glandular dots, 5 calyx teeth, triangular-subulate, slightly longer than the calyx tube; the corolla is purple-red, tubular, up to 12mm long, sparsely hairy inside; there are 4 stamens, hidden inside, the anther locules are fully developed and separate; the style is recurved at the tip. The capsule is oblong-ovate, about 4 mm long and 4-lobed. The flowering and fruiting period is from July to January of the funding year.
