The stem is fleshy, swollen at the nodes, branched, green with purple-red, and hairy. The leaves are alternate, ovate, ovate-elliptic or elliptic-lanceolate, 6 to 16 cm long, with a pointed tip, a rounded base, decurrent, and scalloped edges with extremely fine linear lobes between the teeth. Inflorescence is axillary; there is an oblique ovate bract at the base of the pedicel; there are 3 sepals, the middle one is at the bottom, sac-shaped, very large, extending backward to form a curved spur, yellow, and the ones on both sides are smaller and green; there are 5 petals, yellow, the upper one is upright, and the 2 petals on each side are fused into 1; there are 5 stamens, the filaments are white, and the anthers are fused to surround the top of the pistil; there is 1 pistil, and the ovary is oblong and cylindrical, with 5 chambers. Capsule, silique-shaped, long fusiform. Flowering period is from June to July.

[Habitat distribution] Grown in moist places such as mountains, forests, puddles and streams. Distributed throughout Northeast and Southwest my country.
