[Source] The source of the medicinal material: the wood of the legume plant Dalbergia nanlingensis.

[Original form] Dalbergia Nanling is a tree, 3-15m tall. The bark is brown-black. Odd-pinnate compound leaves, alternate, 10-15cm long, with sparse hairs on rachis and petiole; stipules lanceolate; leaflets 13-15, oblong, 1.8-4.5cm long, 1-2cm, truncate at apex, rounded or broadly cuneate at base, pubescent beneath. Inflorescence axillary; peduncle rusty, sparsely hairy or glabrous; bracteoles ovate, about 1 mm long, hairy; epicalyx-shaped bracteoles caducous; calyx campanulate, 5 calyx teeth of unequal length, the lowest tooth lanceolate, twice as long as the other 4 teeth, all with rusty soft hairs; corolla white, standard petal rounded, with 2 calluses at base; 10 stamens, disarticulate, (5) + (5); ovary densely rusty soft hairs. The pods are oval, flat, 6-13 cm long, with a stalk about 6 mm long at the base, and usually contain one seed. The flowering period is May-June, and the fruiting period is October-November.
