[Source] It is the whole herb of Lespedeza serrata, a plant of the Leguminosae family.

[Original form] Small shrub, 50 to 100 cm high. The branches are scattered, and the twigs are slender, striated, and pubescent. Stipules are stiff hairy and persistent; 3-leaved compound leaves, leaflets ovate or ovate-rectangular, 1-1.5 cm long, 7-9 mm wide, obtuse at apex, with short tip, rounded base, slightly curled margins, with appressed white hairs on the back, nearly leathery. The racemes are axillary, with thin, hair-like pedicels; bracts are lanceolate; flowers are small and spreading; calyx is bell-shaped, 5-parted, with lanceolate lobes; corolla is butterfly-shaped, white or slightly yellow, with a broad standard petal with purple spots at the base, shorter than the keel petal; 10 stamens, 2-body; ovary superior, style incurved, stigma small, terminal. The pods are round and usually no longer than the sepals. Flowering period is from July to September. The fruiting period is from September to October.

[Habitat distribution] Growing on roadsides and in jungles on hillsides. Distributed in southern, central and northern my country.
