The involucre is green, cylindrical, slightly swollen at the base, with bracts in one row, about the same length as the corolla; the flowers are purple, all bisexual tubular flowers, and the corolla has 5 teeth at the tip. Achenes are cylindrical, about 4 mm long, ribbed, with white, soft pappus. [Habitat distribution] It grows near villages, roadsides, fields or grasslands in the wilderness. The branches are located in Jiangxi, Fujian, Hunan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Guizhou, Yunnan and other provinces. [Cultivation] It likes warm and humid environment and avoids drought.
