The flower cones are unisexual and monoecious. The cones are ovate-oblong, 2.5-5cm long and 1.5-2.8cm in diameter; the seed scales are thin, opening significantly when ripe, flat square round or inverted triangular round, about 1cm long and 1-1.3cm wide, with dense soft hairs on the middle of the back of the scales; the bract scales are slightly longer than the seed scales, straight, about 1.5cm long, wider at the bottom, nearly equal in width in the middle and upper parts, and truncate at the tip. The fruit scales remain. The seeds are oblique triangular-ovate, about 8mm long including the wings, and the seed wings are light brown. The flowering period is April-May, and the cones mature in October.
