【Other name】 gravel

[Source] This product is metamorphic rock biotite schist or chloritized mica carbonate schist . After excavation, remove the mud, sand and rocks.

【Properties】 Biotite schist: mainly scaly or flaky aggregates. It is in the shape of irregular flat blocks or long oblique blocks, with no obvious edges or corners. Brown-black or green-black, with glassy luster. It is soft, brittle, and has obvious flaky cross-section. The broken powder is mainly green-black scales (biotite) with star-like flashes. Slight odor, light taste.

It is green with slight gold spots." 2. "Compendium of Materia Medica" records: "Realm is often found in the mountains of Jiangbei (now Qichun County, Hubei Province), and the best is the one from Xushan. There are two kinds, blue and white, and the blue one is the best. It is hard, fine and blue-black. When it is opened, there are white stars in it. After calcination, it becomes star-like yellow like bran gold. Those without stars are not used for medicinal purposes."
