【Original morphology】Plant height 30-60cm. The rhizome is obliquely ascending and is covered with brown, lanceolate scales at the base of the petiole. Leaves are clustered; petioles are 15-35cm long and smooth upwards; leaf blades are ovate-triangular, 20-35cm long and 10-25cm wide, with only a few brown bubble-like scales under the rachis, and three pinnae; pinnae are slightly arched upwards, with a pair of the largest at the base, 10-15cm long and 4-6cm wide, and the pinnae on the lower side of the base of the rachis are slightly longer, with rounded tips and several sharp teeth, and coarse serrations on the edges. The sori are round, inserted in the middle or below the middle of the veinlets, in a row on each side of the midrib; there is no sori cover.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing under mountain forests at an altitude of 600-1800m.

【Nature and flavor】 Slightly bitter; cool

【Functions and indications】 Clears away heat and dampness; promotes blood circulation and regulates menstruation. Mainly used for enteritis, dysentery, dysmenorrhea and irregular menstruation
