【Discussions by Various Scholars】《Illustrated Records of Plant Names and Realities》: "Qingfeng vine is found everywhere near the mountains. Luo Siju's 《Illustrated Herbs》 says: Qingfeng vine is also called Qingteng, and its wood spreads on trees and is evergreen all year round. The stems are collected for use. The Xunfeng vine in Nancheng is Qingfeng vine, which spreads on the roof. The locals use the stems to treat rheumatism. It is said that the vine that climbs up the maple tree and comes out of the treetop is the real one, which takes the essence of the maple tree. The vine is old and has a special effect on treating rheumatism, while the others are powerless. The vine is similar to Manglietia, with thick leaves and strong wood. The vine is as hard as wood, as thick as a fist, with black spots, which is probably a kind of Trachelospermum, but the origin is different. In addition, 《Compendium of Materia Medica》 says that the Fufang vine that grows on maple trees is the best, so it may be the same thing. Qingfeng and Fufang are the same pronunciation, and the local pronunciation is generally like this."
