[Original form] Perennial herb, 50-150cm tall. Roots fusiform, branched, brownish yellow. Stem coarsely hairy and furrowed. The basal leaves have long petioles, are coarsely hairy, and are sheathed at the base; the leaves are ternate-pinnate, with 3-5 leaflets, which are broadly ovate, and the terminal leaflets are usually wider and nearly round, with petioles, cordate bases, cuneate or irregular, more or less pinnately fissured, and the lobes are often pinnately notched, with serrated edges, the surface covered with sparse, fine procumbent hairs, and the back covered with dense grayish white hairs; the leaves on the upper part of the stem gradually simplify, and the petioles are broadly sheathed. Compound umbels terminal and lateral; no involucre; rays unequal in length, glabrous; several bracteoles, linear-lanceolate; calyx teeth triangular; petals white, dimorphic. The fruit is oval or obovate, 8-10mm long and 5-7mm wide. There is one oil tube in each groove on the back, and its length is 2/3 of the fruit. There are two oil tubes on the commissure. The flowering period is July-August, and the fruiting period is August-September.
