Wild Hemp

Wild hemp is an annual herb, 0.2-0.5 meters tall, with slender branches covered with soft hairs that gradually become sparse. The leaves are membranous, the female and male flowers are in the same order, and the fruiting period is from April to December. It grows in relatively moist agricultural land and broad grasslands in plains or on hillsides at an altitude of 20-1 200 (-1 900) m, and sometimes under sparse forests on basalt mountains. Wolves use grass, roots and stems as medicine. The dry wolfgrass with roots has only remaining leaves on the top of the stem, which are mostly broken and wrinkled. Pick from May to July, remove the soil, dry in the air or use fresh. It is widely distributed in our country.

The fruit season is from April to December.

How to eat

Pick it in May or June, wash it, blanch it in boiling water, then soak it in cold water, stir-fry it or make soup.
